Autumnal lips and neutral eyes

It's the Autumn/winter season and we see the revival of darker toned make-up. Berries, reds, plums and burgundies. A reflection of all things we eat and wear...festive, bold and glamorous!

When wearing a bold lip, I like to keep the eyes neutral and matte. It's all about the lips! I also apply a light contour to the cheeks and minimal blush.

Darker toned lipsticks do wonders for your skin. They somehow give your complexion a lift and brighten your entire face! There is a shade for everyone and for every skin tone.

So, here is my autumnal look and my chosen products;

Products used:

Rimmel lasting finish lipstick by Kate in 107 (A BIG fave in the blogging/make-up world!)

Naked palette.I applied Virgin on the inner corners, Naked on the lids and smudged it under the lower lash lines. Then I blended Buck into the crease. (I used the 1st, 3rd and 5th shadows from the left).

Rest of the face:

Revlon photoready foundation in 004 Nude.
MUA bronzer in shade 3 for contour.
E.l.f mineral blush in Joy (a teeny tiny amount!).
E.l.f baked blush in Pinktastic for highlight.
M.A.C paint pot in Soft Ochre for eye primer.
Soap & Glory double crayon liner/lidshadow daily for nude waterline.
Miss Sporty pump up booster mascara in black.
Rimmel eyebrow pencil in 002 Hazel (for filling in ends of eyebrows).
Barry M lipliner in number 7.
M.A.C mineralize skinfinish natural in Light plus for setting foundation.

That's it! This look is really simple and really quick to do. Of course, you can substitute the products I used with your own favourites!

I hope you like it!

What are your favourite lipsticks for Autumn/winter?

Will you be embracing darker lips this season?
